    In this course, students read and analyze college-level texts in order to write researched, thesis-based essays.

    Prompt

    Write about a current controversial issue whereby pros and cons could be researched. Make sure to look at both sides of an issues and take on a position. The side that you take, you must be able to defend through opposing points views with factual evidence, advocacy and persuasion.

    How to start your paper:

    • Select your topic
    • Research the issues
      • collect materials: articles, journals, and other materials which will assist with your topic
    • Read about the other side of the argument
    • Defend your point of view and take a stand
    • Be persuasive
